Seismic waves and water can weaken soil, causing it to move. This is called earthquake. Earthquake is the the shaking of a part of the surface of the Earth that causes great damages. Due to the movement of the tectonic plates, the soil weakens and may cause erosion and other disasters.

The correct answer is liquefaction. It is NOT earthquake, an earthquake is the shaking of the ground however, it is not the term used to describe when the soil is moved.
