u multiplyEVERYTHING on BOTH SIDES by 3 since thats the common denominator. 2/3x turns into 2x, 13 is now 39 7/3x is now 7x and -22 is now -66

now u have: 2x + 39 = 7x - 66 now u subtract 2x from both sides

now u have: 39 = 5x - 66 then u add 66 since it is the inverse operation

now u have: 5x = 105 now to get x alone u divide by 5

5x divided by 5 = x

106 divided by 5 = 21

thus getting x = 21
