The volume of the cylinder is 987.7 cube units

Explanation

given that

height of the cylinder h=5 1/2 feet=11/2 feet

diameter is 2 3/4 times the height

therefore diameter d=  h*2[tex]\frac{3}{4}[/tex]=[tex]\frac{11}{2}* \frac{11}{4}[/tex]

=121/8

volume of cylinder=[tex]\pi r^{2}h=3.14*(d/2)^2 *11/2\\[/tex]

=[tex]3.14*((\frac{121/8}{2} )^2 *11/2\\=[/tex]

=987.7 cube units
