Explanation:

Mass = volume × density

Since the volume of the sample = 5.8 ml

& the density of mercury = 13.5 g/mL

∴  Mass = 5.8 mL × 13.5 g/mL

             = 78.3 g

thus a 5.8 mL sample of mercury has a mass of 78.3 g
