in a microscope, what happens to the sharpness of the image (resolution) as you switch from low to high power? Plz help!

The "resolution" lowers. This is caused because most optical microscopes bend light. The more light there is, the more it bends. This causes the edges of the object to be blurred, and possibly even blot out the object.
